Name of Activity:

Soldier Arms & Angel Wings

Purpose of Activity:

At the end of class students will line up with hands to themselves by asking them to use "soldier arms" (arms at side, chest tall, perfect posture) or "angel wings" (hands clasped behind back).

Suggested Grade Level:

K-2

Materials Needed:

None

Description of Idea

Students lined up correctly with "soldier arms" will receive an imaginary "badge of courage", a pat on the shoulder and, students demonstrating proper "angel wings" will receive a "halo", a circle drawn above their head.

Adaptations for Students with Disabilities

Demonstration of choices and proper procedures with kinesthetic feedback.
