Title of Bulletin Board: Who's Heart Do You Jump For?

Category: Jump Rope for Heart

Suggested Grade Level: 3-8

Materials: Heart Cut Outs, Jump Rope, Letter Cut Outs, Stories from American Heart Association Website

This bulletin board is to educate the students about heart disease. The staff was given a cut out heart - by choice - they were asked to write a name, loved one, or a special saying representing someone they loved that was affected by heart disease. The stories on the bulletin board tell a story about a young individual that has been affected by heart disease. We talk about one story and the emotions the students feel. We also let the students know that staff within our building have been affected by heart disease. That is why it is important to take care of our hearts.
