To provide a culminating activity to a baseball unit. It also brings the sport of baseball into other content areas allowing students to learn the game from different perspectives.

Suggested Grade Level:

3-5

Assessment sheet (PDF | Editable Word Document)

Description of Idea

After completion of the baseball unit, ask students to complete this worksheet that is given to them after attending or viewing any baseball game (for this one we went to a spring training game). They can watch any baseball game on TV or attend any game in person though to make this assessment work.

This cross curricular activity can be done for any PE unit and it is a great way to get other areas involved in your curriculum. Feel free to edit to meet your needs.
