Behavior Stickers

Avery 5160 labels, Download the Microsoft Word stickers at this Google Drive (Don't forget to save a copy on your own Google Drive for easy access later).
Description of Idea
Working with younger students (and sometimes older), it can be challenging to get them to follow directions at the start of the year. I created these labels that can be printed on Avery 5160 labels and you can print on your own printer. As I am providing instructions for my students I hand out the good listening sticker to students who are not talking, watching me, and are listening. I've also given stickers to students who ignore students who do not talk when their friends start talking to them. At the end of class, I give out a few of the "I had a good day" stickers to students who were on task, following directions, and listening for the entire class.
Print out the stickers ahead of time. Have them ready to hand out to students. Use them during the start of the school year or when the students need a reminder about expectations. Great to use after students come back from a Holiday break.

Assessment Ideas:
You can have a walk-talk or an exit ticket where you ask students why he/she received a good listening sticker. What was he/she doing that helped them earn a sticker?
Teaching Suggestions:
You can create different stickers to focus on the behaviors you are trying to reinforce for any child.
Share this with the parents of your children at a parent night or through communications home.
