Follow the Leader

Posters of Pathways on wall
Description of Idea
Once students are in partners, the teacher calls out a Pathway (straight, curve, zig zag). One partner will lead while the other will follow him/her in the pathway that the partner goes.
When the teacher says switch then the students switch partners and do the same thing.
Variations:
As students improve, add a locomotor skill with a pathway (I.e., gallop in a zig zag).
Adaptations for Students with Disabilities
Students can pick a partner and together think of a skill that they can do. Students can use their hands.
