Title of Bulletin Board: Characteristics of a Winner

Category: Olympics

Suggested Grade Level: 3-5

Materials: medals, definitions

Description:

The purpose of this board is for students to become familiar with characteristics that make people winners. The board is decorated with medals which ties into an olympic theme, and it is a great way to tie in anything dealing with past, present and future olympics. My goal is for them to strive to become the best people they can be both in and out of the gym . The first week of class we went over what each charactersitic was, and after that class, kids tell me who exemplified a characterisitc of a winner that is listed on the board (responsibility, determination, etc). This is a great closer, and helps build character as well.
