PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Winter Olympics

Category: Olympics

Suggested Grade Level: All

Materials: white background paper, print shop for banner, internet for pictures of winter sport and pictographs, blue construction paper for snowflakes, Olympic Rings

This bulletin board is in my gym where I can use it as I teach my Winter Olympic unit. Most elementary students are not very aware of the different Winter Olympic events. This board has pictures of athletes performing the event. As we do each event I have the students look at the board (I also play a Youtube video!). The Olympic Rings have depicted what each ring stands for so I can refer to it as we progress in the unit.

Nice! QUESTION: How are you able to show a You Tube video? Directly on the computer? (The districts I have been in block it.) or do you download it onto a DVD? Or something else? Please answer in the comment section.
