Title of Bulletin Board: Hooray for Field Day! Category: Field Day Suggested Grade Level: K-2 Materials: bulletin board paper, construction paper, border, samples of field day apparel, posters, pictures, ribbons, awards, balloons Description: I put this bulletin board up several weeks before field day to use as an introduction to the field day event and the field day lessons. The bulletin board contains lots of information to prepare for field day like dates, pictures of each relay race at field day with a flag and corresponding number beside it, samples from various vendors selling field day apparel (ribbons, bookmarks, t-shirt logos, etc.), "10 ways to have fun at field day", "10 ways to be a good sport", actual participation ribbon, actual class ribbons, class sportsmanship award, and balloons to give it a festive look. The bulletin board is a weekly reminder that field day is coming soon.
