I am a professor in the Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education at Ithaca College. I have a passion for helping future teachers use technology effectively in their teaching. I believe that mobile devices and their apps offer teachers opportunities to enhance student learning, contribute to interdisciplinary learning and the Common Core, and help teachers assess student learning. Apps can help teachers be more efficient and effective in fulling their responsibilities. The use of mobile devices and apps in physical education engages students and builds on their ease and enjoyment in using technology in its many forms.

The app section's focus is on sharing apps that have been successfully used by teachers and encouraging the exchange of ideas to inspire additional uses. The advisory board looks forward to receiving apps to review and creative ideas about their use in physical education.
