Peer Assessment Sheet (PDF | Editable Word Document)

Description of Idea

At the end of our hockey unit I like to have the students assess their own skills so I give them this handout to use with their partner. I love reviewing these after they are completed because I go through them and make notes to see if I agree. I make adjustments to my teaching for the next time I teach the hockey skills.

Variations:

You could do this at the start of the unit as well just to get a sense of how much they improve.

Teaching Suggestions:

Have students choose the equipment they are comfortable with so make sure to have many choices of sticks, balls, pucks, etc.
