Protecting Home While Away
Move expensive electronic equipment out of sight and away from windows.
Ask a trusted friend to inspect your house regularly and to turn on outside lights at night.
Ask this friend to pick up any mail or newspaper delivery.
Keep an inside light on so it looks like someone is home at night.
Don't broadcast your trip to everyone no matter how delighted you are to be going on vacation.
Never leave spare keys under doormats or in flower pots.
Leave blinds and curtains in normal position.
