Only ride a bike that is in good working condition.
Wear reflective clothing if riding in the evening. Don't ride your bike in the dark.
If riding in town around vehicles, remember motorist's blind spots. Ride ahead or stay behind cars and trucks a good distance so they can see you in their mirrors.
