Walking on the Street

Use sidewalks at all times if you can.

If there are no sidewalks to walk on make sure to keep to the left and walk FACING the traffic.

When going to cross the street do so only at the corners, not in the middle of the block.

Before crossing look and listen for traffic from both sides the cross when there is no traffic coming. Continue to look for oncoming traffic while you cross as well.

Use sidewalks at all times if you can. Best to cross the street with other people if you can. Drivers can see large groups easier than one person.

Do not walk on the streets in the dark.
