Make Soups Even Better For You
Buy broth-based soups, such as chicken noodle or vegatable. They are usually lower in fat than other soups.
Choose soups with 3 grams or less of fat per serving.
Avoid cream-based soups unless they're low in fat.
Keep sodium to 500 mg. or less per serving.
Add skim milk instead of whole milk to canned soups.
Choose soups made with beans, lentils or peas to increase your fiber intake.
