I was teaching a manipulatives lesson on throwing and catching and the class was discussing what a target was. We talked about putting our hands up and giving our partner something to aim for. We then went to practice. I yelled "Targets up!' Everyone put up their hands except one child, who pulled his shirt up. I asked what he was doing and he said "My belly button is a great target" Well, at least he understood what a target was!
