PE Central Kids Quote of the Week
For week beginning Monday, September 17, 2001
I was sitting with my class of Kindergarten students, as we began our discussion about child abduction/prevention. I started out asking the children about their first and last names, telephone numbers, etc. Then I decided to ask the children to raise their hand if they knew their mother's first name; many hands went up. So I called on a few kids, and heard things like Kim, Michelle, Julie...after asking several children, I called on one little boy, and said, "What is your mom's first name?" to which he replied, "Mrs.!" As if that wasn't cute enough, I said, "ok, well what's your mother's other name?" He answered, "Mom!!" With a chuckle from some of the kids he finally caught on and said, "Judy!"
