While doing a lead-up running/gymnastics challenge (1st grade), which was set up with five, consecutive tumbling mats spaced about three feet apart, the students had to jump from each mat without touching the floor. To make it more interesting, I mentioned that if they landed on the floor, a lion, tiger, etc. would nibble on their feet and they would go to the Doctor for stitches. One student said. "I can't get my foot off because my soccer coach says I need my feet."
