As a classroom teacher, I often integrate p.e./movement with other subject areas. One day, I took my first graders outside and had them act out some vocabulary words. I called out the word "migrate" and watched as my students pretended to fly across the field together. However, I noticed one child walking slowly behind his classmates with his hand on his head. I asked, "Timmy, are you OK?" He replied, "Yeah, I'm fine. You said migrate. That means you have a headache." With a smile on my face, I then explained the difference between "migrate" and "migraine".
