During our warm up, which was a 3 minute jog around the volleyball court, students seem to want to stop and sit down. I have 3 students with asthma in this class. Before participating in class, the students must go to the clinic to use their inhaler. This way they do not have any difficulties throughout class. Yesterday, Danny, a 2nd grade student, looked very tired during our 3 minute jog. When our warm up was over Danny approached me. I asked what was wrong? Danny replied, " I think I need to use a puffer". I replied, what is a puffer? He said, "you know the thing that Barry uses that makes him run faster".
