One day while in physical education class I was explaining to the students that I would be dividing them into separate teams in order to play our game for the day. I told them that one team would have pennies and the other would not. After explaining the rules and appoiting all students to their teams a 5th grade girl, named Ellen, came up to me and shyly asked, "Mrs. Forrester. I don't have any pennies, but I've got two dimes. Will that be ok"?
