I was teaching a lesson on running, and I was going over a few cues like pump your arms and knees high. I had the students perform this skill with different activites for about 18 minutes. At the end of the lesson, a first grader walked by me and said "Man, I am out of shape, I have to get back in the gym." It just shows that first graders hear everything.
