At the end of the day, our students are called, walkers, car riders, and bus riders. I was on duty in front of the school to help the "walkers" get home safely. I told a first grader to run and meet her father, he was waiting for her at a stop sign about a 100 yards away from the school. She started to run, she ran about ten yards and then stopped, turned around and looked at me and said "Coach, I can't run, I am a walker", she had a good point!!
