My first through fourth graders are participating in a mini Olympics. I talk about the different kinds of sports in the "real Olympics" like bobsledding, skiing, etc. In one of my second grade classes a boy raised his hand and said, "I don't want to do the Olympics." When I asked him why he responded "Because I'm scared to shish kabob!"
