A mother asked at the end of last year if I had any information on menstruation she could use to help when her daughter started asking "THE" questions. At the beginning of this year she related how helpful the materials I gave her were. During a ride home from the grocery store where her nine year old daughter had purchased a teen magazine, the daughter asked what a "period" was. Mom went through an explanation that she thought was both basic and informative. The daughter said, "That's disqusting, I thought it was a class time in school."
