Recently my second graders and I discussed abdominal muscles. We thought about different ways to exercise them and how to make them stronger. I sent the students off to work in small groups so that they could color their muscle worksheets. When one student had finished coloring, he came up to me to show me his picture. I told him how good it was and asked him to point to where his abdominals are located.

He looked at me, as he pointed at the picture, and sternly said, "And mine are strong, too!"
