As a part of a free class hour students were asked to write down things that describe what they think are the characteristics of a good teacher. The following are some views from 6th grade students at Los Robles School:

• "a good teacher is our life example of wellness"
• "be equal with every student"
• "a person who doesn't make jokes about any student"
• "a good teacher is a person who cheers you up when you are sad or have any problem"
• "have a good sense of humor"
• "understand and explain why"
• "be a friend"
• "join the students to any school and out of school activity"
• "answer any kind of question without getting angry and avoiding it"
• "be on time"
