PE Central Kids Quote of the Week
For week beginning Monday, April 17, 2006
We were showing our classes the recently installed AED (Automated External Defibrillator) in our school. We simply wanted them to see it and to understand this is not a toy and it could save someone's life. We asked them a few questions about emergency situations including this one: "What should you do if you see someone having a heart attack?" We hoped they would say to call 911 or to find an adult. One student eagerly raised his hand and bounced up and down feeling very confident he had the correct answer. "Harry, what should you do?" Harry responded, "Stop, drop, and roll!" It was all I could do to keep a straight face.
