PE Central Kids Quote of the Week
For week beginning Monday, March 25, 1996
During my set induction for a kindergarten class I was foot-dribbling a 9" Foam ball. I asked the students what I was doing. One student, Carl (who is a very SERIOUS student at all times) raised his hand and said "KICKING."
I responded that he was close, but I wasn't kicking. No one raised their hand as I continued to demonstrate. Carl kept his hand up, however. I called on him again.
He responded "KICKING WITH ONE FOOT." I responded again by saying "you are close Carl" but I wasn't demonstrating kicking.
A third time Carl raised his hand as I demonstrated. His response this time was "KICKING WITH BOTH FEET!"
I said no Carl, I am not kicking.
He raised his hand one final time and said, "Why don't you just tell us so we know!"
