PE Central Kids Quote of the Week
For week beginning Monday, February 5, 1996
Some students were recently asked to design their own games to play in PE class. The following are samples of some of their ideas. (PE Central does not recommend teachers adopt these games for their programs!)
Game1: "Connect"
You are in pairs with a ball. You throw the ball back and forth until the ball is dropped. When you drop the ball, you put it back in the ball box and join another group. You continue throwing the ball back and forth in the larger group. When the ball is dropped you put the ball away and the whole group goes and joins another group. You keep doing this until the whole class is together playing with one ball.
Game 2: "Wild Hog"
2 taggers
everyone else Hogs
When you get tagged you have to get on all fours, kick in the air 10 times while squealing. Then you can get back up and run from taggers again.
Game 3: "Reccos"
2 teams/2 goals at each end of field
Basically like soccer but you can carry the ball and you can throw the ball to other people. You can also kick the ball to other people. To get the ball into the goal it must be kicked. If you throw it into the goal it doesn't count and you must give the ball up to the other team. If the ball goes on the ground then you lose it to the other team.
