On the first day of school, my usual post is directing students and their parents to their respective areas. This year, as I greeted a new kindergarten student and his mother with a smile, the young boy looked at me and said with a very stern voice, "Old man, Old man" and shook his head with dismay at my directions. Needless to say, his mother was less than thrilled with his comments. Today, when I had the same young man for PE for the first time, he looked at me and said after class, "I don't care what my Mom says, you are pretty cool for an old guy."
