One of the first weeks of school, I had the students run for the first few minutes of class and then I had them feel their heart beat after they were done. I was explaining to them that their heart beats faster when the do activities. After explaining this to them, I told them it was time to move on. One little kindergartner said, "But Mrs. B, I can't go on, my heart is all out of speed."
