PE Central Kids Quote of the Week
For week beginning Monday, January 8, 1996
A PE teacher wanted to know if his students had learned anything about kicking a soccer ball in his PE class. To do this he asked his students to write down some things that unskilled kickers should do to be excellent kickers.
- "take a soccer ball and lay it down and move back from the ball and when you are ready you go up to the ball and take the foot you kick with and you take your foot and kick it with the side of your foot."
- "Kick with your instep (or the part that curves on your shoe.) Take a step before you do anything. Turn your body a little bit."
- "To kick a soccer ball a short distance you tap it with the side of your foot. To kick a long distance and up high in the air you hit it at the bottom of the ball with your shoelaces. to aim the ball you point your foot toward the thing your kicking at and kick it one of the I told you."
- "First you shoud tell them to dribble looking at the ball. And ceep it close to them. And to kick it with the in side of your foot."
