My second grade class had been learning about zig-zag pathways. I asked "When would you want to use a zig-zag pathway?" I was thinking, playing tag or soccer or something like that. A child raised her hand and said, "Well, if you're in a swamp and you come up on a crocodile, you would use a zig-zag pathway to get away." I guess she was right!
