Name of Activity:

First Aid Kits

Purpose of Activity:

Students will learn what items make up a First Aid Kit and the purpose of the items.

Suggested Grade Level:

6-8

Materials Needed:

Paper, Markers or Colored Pencils.

Description of Idea

Students first brainstorm and discuss the items that make up a First Aid Kit. They are then given a sheet of paper (I use 11x14) which they fold in half so that they have a cover for their kit. On the front cover, they draw a symbol to represent the First Aid Kit or they write "First Aid Kit". Students then open up their kit. They draw and label at least 10 items that go into a First Aid Kit. On the back cover, they list these items and explain how the item is used.
