PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: What's Poppin' in P.E. this year?

Category: Beginning of School

Suggested Grade Level: 6-8

Materials: Popcorn border, brown bulletin board paper, cut outs of kernels (made by teacher), labels made on the computer, yellow cut-out letters, popcorn bags

This bulletin board was meant to tantalize the students using one of their favorite treats -- Popcorn! Each kernel has a label with a P.E. activity we will be doing during the school year (e.g., jump rope, parachute play, Presidential Physical Fitness Challenge, volleyball, etc). The students enjoying reading the bulletin board and pointing out their favorite activities they do throughout the year. The kernels were cut out of off white card stock paper -- the popcorn bags were borrowed from our concession stand.
