PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Balance is ...

Category: Skill Themes

Suggested Grade Level: 3-5

Materials: Paper to cover board and letters

We have been studying Balance in our P.E. classes. I taped 2 pieces of paper together (since I don't have a bulletin board) and put it up on the wall with the words "Balance is..." The homework assignment was to bring in a picture of balance. The students could either make their own picture/drawing, take a picture of themselves doing a balance, find one in a magazine or paper, or find one online. I have included time elapsed photos showing the first photos that I used and then as the kids bring in their pictures you can see how the board has filled up. I even had the Kindergarten kids bring in their pictures to explain balance. It has been a great but simple successful project.
