PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: "Get Off It!"

Category: Motivation

Suggested Grade Level: All

Materials: Denim, cordoroy or other appropriate fabric sewn to look like the back side of a pair of pants

This is a great bulletin board for getting the kids' attention and creating teachable moments regarding obesity, diet and daily physical activity. Over the years I have also received lots of favorable comments from teachers and parents when they see it for the first time. I used to staple it flat against the bulletin board, but now I make it three demensional by stuffing it with newspaper before stapling it the bulletin board.

Additional Information:

Inquire around your school for a parent who sews, and ask if they could make it for you. The dimensions are approximately 40" wide by 20" high.
