PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: This Week in P.E.

Category: Motivation

Suggested Grade Level: All

Materials: fabric background, boarder, letters and numbers, cardboard pictures of active children, six clear page protectors, clip art of curriculum

My students are always asking what we will be doing in P.E. class during the week. I put this bulletin board in the gym in clear view of the line they wait in for lunch. One half of the board is what myself and my student teacher will be working on for the week. The other half of the board is for my overload P.E. teacher's classes. In the middle, I left a space for level 1/K-2, level 2/3rd & 4th grade, and level 3/ 5th & 6th grades. Next to the levels, I stapled a clear page protector on each side. I printed up clip are for each lesson focus in our curriculum. Each week I slip the approriate lesson focus for each level and each teacher to keep the students informed and excited about their upcoming lesson.
