PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: What's on Your Plate this Thanksgiving?

Category: Holiday-Thanksgiving

Suggested Grade Level: 3-8

Materials: Boarder, construction paper, maker, bulletin board paper, scissors, stapler

I created this board because it is the week before Thanksgiving, and I wanted to bring awareness to the amount of calories that are in common holiday foods. The board has listed main dishes, side dishes, appetizers, and desserts! I utilized festive colors, and chose to use turkey feathers to display the calorie/food information. The calorie information was found using MyFitnessPal. My board also follows state and national standards.

Because the picture is zoomed out to show the whole board here are the foods with calorie count for 1 serving.
white meat turkey-177
dark meat turkey-232
glazed ham-130
country-style steak-408

collard greens-165
