PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: "Now Learning At A School Near You..."

Category: Physical Activities

Suggested Grade Level: 3-5

Materials: construction paper and chalk

This bulletin board is created solely of students being physically active and participating in a variety of activities. As an introduction to our class, students learn about the importance of Physical Education and what it means to be physically fit and engaged in activities that take place outside of school. A letter was sent home on the very first class to bring in a photo of themselves whether it is playing in an a structured athletic game, riding a bike, rock climbing, etc. It is optional, but once the letter was sent, photos were coming in daily and regularly!
It is an awesome way to have students see what others are doing in their school and if there is anything new they would like to try.
The students are still looking at the board each day and are excited to see themselves up there as well as realizing the different ways to be active!
