PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Go for the Gold - Self Assessment Olympics Rubric

Category: Closure

Suggested Grade Level: All

Materials: Signs with graphics, 2 foam paper plates glued together & spray painted gold, paper designed to look like a large ribbon attached to the paper plates ( I chose our school colors)

This board was inspired by various rubrics shared by other teachers on the PE Central Facebook page. After seeing those, I decided to come up with my own Olympics version. I have the bulletin board by the door where I dismiss my classes and use it as part of my closure to have the students reflect, not only on the lesson, but how they did at meeting the objectives of the lesson to help them own the lesson and become more self aware. The words and posters that I used are in the PDF below.
