PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Healthy Habits

Category: Health

Suggested Grade Level: All

Materials: butcher paper, large toothbrush, wiffle balls, "my plate", empty water bottle, funny stickers

This was made for the nurse's office at a bilingual (English/Spanish) elementary school. It is meant to encourage students, staff, and visitors to think about their health habits and to develop the healthy habits of drinking water, washing hands, eating right, sleeping enough, exercising, and laughing.

I wanted to use some 3-dimensional objects and was able to attach an empty water bottle, wiffle balls (borrowed from the PE coach), a "my plate" sample, and a large toothbrush to the board with thumbtacks. I used a simple star and emoji bandaids (as stickers) for sleeping and laughter, but these could all be adjusted to what you have on hand.

The board is very large, so the end near the entrance to the nurse's office was kept plain for health/school notices, such as fire drill exit routes, etc.
