PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Let's Have a Ball With PE Words

Category: PE/Health Vocabulary

Suggested Grade Level: All

Materials: Construction paper, cut outs of any types of sports balls

This board was created to support literacy in the school. Cut outs were created of many different kinds of sports balls such as tennis balls, basketballs, hockey pucks, soccer balls, volleyballs, footballs, bowling balls, etc. Every time a new unit is taught or a new term is used in class, the new terms are written on a ball and put on our word wall. Students are able to refer to the word wall to see how many new vocabulary terms they learn throughout the course of the year.

Additional Information:

Balls can be saved and recycled if terms are repeated for the next year. Keep extra sports balls for new terms when new units are taught each year.
