PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: "Witch" bone is "Witch"

Category: About the Body

Suggested Grade Level: 3-5

Materials: Black paper, chalk, or white crayon, or qtips

This seems to be a popular craft but I simplified it and just used chalk and printed off a skull for the kids to cut out. It was a nice activity for the students to do since our school does not have art. We did this activity for Halloween. Many of our students were suffering from broken bones so I thought it would be cool to go over some of our major bones. Each student that did a chalk skeleton labeled a bone from a skeleton featured in the classroom so as to become familiar with various bones. I did this with just the 4th grade.
