PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Superhero Spring is Here Poem!

Category: Seasons (Fall, Spring, etc.)

Suggested Grade Level: K-2

Materials: blue and green bulletin board paper for the sky and grass, cloud cut outs, various cartoon characters playing outside

I built this bulletin board for our kids after a very long and cold winter encouraging them to get outside and play once spring arrived. I used various cartoon characters participating in different outdoor activities.

I used Superman, Batman and Robin playing baseball, Mickey Mouse golfing, Charlie Brown flying a kite, a Smurf playing soccer, SpongeBob catching butterflies, a Minion running, Peppa Pig and family stomping in mud puddles and PAW Patrol pups playing ta).

The kids, especially the younger grades, have loved the characters and reading the poem. The poem reads like this, with one verse printed on each cloud:

Spring is here
the flowers all bloom.
It's time to get up
and get out of that room!

Get outside on a
nice spring day
and find your favorite
way to play!

Baseball, soccer, tag
and more....
Grab a kite and
watch it soar!

Run, jump, skip or hop,
Its' great exercise and
you won't want
to stop!

Get out today
and have some fun!
Just make sure to get
your homework done!
