PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Keep Moderation In Consideration

Category: Nutrition

Suggested Grade Level: 3-5

Materials: Background paper, cut out letters, velcro, food labels, marker, staples

This board used a venn diagram to students the difference between health, unhealthy foods, and foods that are good for the body in moderation. Moderation was the word off this board that was used as a key word to get students thinking about portion sizes and eating healthy. in the venn diagram there are pieces of Velcro used to stick on the food labels. This board was used as an interactive board so the students were the ones that brought in the food labels and had to figure out as a class where each label belonged as they were brought in. This board was great because of the math use, vocabulary words, and the ability for the students to be apart of it.
