PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: IS YOUR PUZZLE COMPLETE?

Category: Health

Suggested Grade Level: 6-12

Materials: Construction Paper, Letters, Puzzle pieces

Healthy Choices are an important part of our PE curriculum. This display case is in the hallway adjacent to our gymnasium and is seen by all classes as they enter the gym The focus of the display is a big "DO YOUR PIECES FIT TOGETHER" poster that has a puzzle of a heart with 4 pieces in it: physical activity, hydration, sleep and good nutrition. I cut out puzzle pieces and labeled them with the same 4 subjects and placed them throughout the case to remind the students what it takes to complete your own "HEALTHY" puzzle. During our health classes we review these 4 categories in depth to make sure we all know what is required for healthy lifestyle choices.
