PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Remember your sneakers

Category: Shoe Policy

Suggested Grade Level: All

Materials: Bulletin Board Paper, white paint

I don't have any bulletin boards close to my gym. So, I used the next best thing...they gym doors! I covered the doors with bulletin board paper, cut out the white tops and black laces holes from bulletin board paper and then used white paint to paint on the laces. I printed out "Remember your sneakers!" on the computer and laminated. I plan to change this message as the year progresses to remind students of different rules/expectations.

Students walk past/through these doors every day...they can't miss it!

Additional Information:

The shoes above the door are the Art Teacher's first 3rd Grade Project, "Put Your Best Foot Forward!" We thought it went perfectly. The guidance counselor also approached me about having students decorate shoes after she discusses "putting yourself in someone else's shoes," a lesson on bullying!! Great cross-curricular ties!
