Title of Bulletin Board: Score a TD for Good Character in PE

Category: Character Education

Suggested Grade Level: All

Materials: Bulletin Board Paper, Border, Letters, Foam Cut-outs, Printer Paper

Building character is the foundation of my physical education program. Every lesson I go over two character traits I want to see the students perform during the lesson. For example, if I am working on "teamwork" and "patience", I might use a relay activity to see how well the students are meeting the objectives of the character traits. If they are waiting patiently, staying in line, communicating and working together, they have displayed the character traits at an exemplary level during the lesson. The traits are constantly covered each class and the bulletin board is used as a visual representation of the list of character traits we cover throughout the year.
