PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: "We B at Play"

Category: Physical Education

Suggested Grade Level: All

Materials: tinker toys, material, border,pictures

I made this board to inspire my students to exercise, move, and play. The older grades 2nd-6th were doing a Recreation Unit at the time. (bowling, ping pong, badmintion, board games, foolsball, air hockey, cup stacking) while the younger classes were studying movement. I took candid shots of them in PE class to put up on the board. I built the "play area" out of tinker toys and attached their pictures to them, hanging down, on them and around them. The sun was a piece of cardboard with yellow material covering it. The background for the board was green material purchased on the clearance rack.

Additional Information:

The kids LOVED the board. They liked having their picture up and they also liked the idea that the board looked like a "real" play area.
